Object with and without texture color

For research purposes our project focused on 3d scanning using variuous non-destructive laser and structure light scanners to capture surface geometric data for purposes of preservation and digital virtual reconstruction. Photos were taken in addition to the geometric scans to help identify certain areas and distinquish between different sets of geometry. The images can be applied as image / photo textures onto the 3d model of the object. The following are examples of this technology.

The 3d scans of the objects and caves has helped us confirm how each object fits together. In some cases we were not able to match the object to given space. We continue investigating where these object belong and how they may be virtually reconstructed. If you think you know of more objects which are part of this project and may fit a given space, we would like to hear from you.
