The throne has a row of upright lotus petals carved in relief around the sides. The back is flat and undecorated and would have been placed against a wall of the cave. There is an indentation in the shape of the base of a seated figure carved on the top surface.
This piece was among the fragments of sculptures kept at the Southern Xiangtang site.
